Abstract :
Asymmetrical parasitic effects in differential inductor´s layout are analyzed. The major asymmetry arises from the underpass and central tap. Test data shows, although this asymmetry is small, the inductor´s layout should be carefully designed to decrease the parasitics. Central tap has little influence on differentially-driven inductor´s inductance and Q factor.
