Abstract :
In this paper, we model two-way area-ratio-constrained min-cut partitioning for row-based placement. Then a new fuzzy-clustering-based approach is proposed to obtain a two-way area-ratio-constrained min-cut partitioning. From the construction of the fuzzy-clustering-based approach, it is clear that the proposed approach will be easily extended to multi-way area-ratio-constrained partitioning. Finally, the approach is implemented to solve two-way area-ratio-constrained min-cut partitioning on many circuit benchmarks. The experimental results show that the proposed approach obtains better partitioning results than the F and M approach for row-based placement
