Abstract :
The authors illustrate the concept of integrating an already proven development support environment with a minimal Ada programming support environment by two-way transformations: code generation and code feedback. The concept implemented for the EPOS software engineering environment, originally together with the DEC Ada programming environment, is generalized to allow interfacing of EPOS with all standard Ada programming environments. It provides consistent Ada life cycle support, and allows reuse of designs and concepts from previous avionics, electronics and engineering projects at a high level of abstraction
