Abstract
With the development of broadband wireless networks and increasing demand of multimedia information on internet, the study of video streaming transmission has become a hot topic in nowadays. Through analysis three main points of streaming media transmission, and by combining the forthcoming H.264 Scalable Video Coding and Congestion Control algorithm based on accumulated mechanism, this paper presents a solution for delivering video streaming information to users over an 802.16 broadband wireless access network. The simulation shows that this scheme provides high utilization of the wireless access system. Further, it allocates network resources to all user terminals fairly, maintains video throughput smoothly, and ensures continuous video for user terminals.
