Abstract :
A method for computer simulation of a class of non-linear systems is presented. This method is based on symbolic analysis of waveforms in the time domain. In a wide class of non-linear systems, the time-domain waveforms can be expressed using a set of functions made of polynomials and complex exponential functions. A computer program has been written, implementing the symbolic analysis over this set of functions. As an example, simulation results for a first-order continuous-time sigma-delta modulator are presented and discussed
