  • Abstract
The self-aligning polarization analyzer evaluates the state of polarization of an incoming electromagnetic plane wave using (scalar) power measurements. Self-alignment is achieved utilizing three six-ports with relative orientations chosen to differ in a prescribed way. Suitable six-port circuits are defined, calibrated and optimized. The three six-ports are (simultaneously) calibrated at various angles of incidence
