Abstract
The authors report further advances in CuInSe2 photovoltaic technology aimed at a low cost manufacturing process. The incorporation of Ga into CIS has led to aperture area efficiencies over 8% for areas near one square foot. A modified selenization of Cu/InxSey stacks appear to be insensitive to variations in the Cu/In ratio. In-line manufacturing equipment has been constructed to prepare 50×125 cm modules with a power output of 50 watts
