Abstract
Diffraction of plane waves from a strip grating deposited on a magnetized ferrite substrate is studied analytically. The problem is reduced to the non-reciprocal Riemann-Hilbert problems and solved in a rigorous manner. The results exhibit that a large number of scattering resonances occur in the frequency band of magnetostatic surface waves (MSSWs). The scattering resonances are proved to be caused by MSSWs which are excited by the incident plane wave. The frequencies of the resonances and the directions of the reflected beams are electronically tunable by the biasing magnetic field
