Abstract :
This paper introduces an equivalent circuit analysis method to investigate common-mode effects in matrix converter applied in wind energy systems. Transfer characteristics of common-mode current against emission sources are analyzed in order to identify the coupling of transfer functions due to absence of DC link. The comprehensive analysis results provide insight into the common-mode current generation, coupling, and transmission. In addition, the matrix converter time-domain model is established with accurate parasitic parameters from experimental measurements. The validity and effectiveness of analysis method has been verified by time-domain simulation.
