Abstract
With its unique combination of: small size; good stability in time domain (long term and short term); good environmental sensitivities. OCXO (oven controlled crystal oscillators) are vital components in electronic communication systems. TEMEX has developed a new generation of high stability and very compact OCXO (package size 2" × 2" × 0.65") especially designed for CDMA and UMTS applications. Recent progress in thermal regulation has allowed us to overcome the height of 1 inch. The main characteristics at 10 MHz of this new sub one inch OCXO family are discussed in this paper.
