Groove guides have sharp corners in the guide proper hence they are not low loss and high power carrying waveguide. A groove rectangular waveguide with rounded internal angles has been proposed by Lin et al. (1996). However, the latter is not practical in having infinite arms. The authors try the Conchoid of Nicomedes to see how can provide boundaries of static fields or high frequency waves
