  • Abstract
    Development of a functional piezoceramics for power therapeutic transducer generally requires good piezoelectric material. It must possess high mechanical coupling factor, mechanical quality factor, homogenous microstructure. In addition, high temperature stability of resonance resistance and clamped capacitance should be also concerned. Modified piezoelectric ceramics with compositions of 0.02PSN-xPMnN-(0.98-x)PZT are prepared from B-oxides precursor method. Their piezoelectric and dielectric properties are investigated. To transfer maximum power to transducer by power driver, the piezoelectric properties must be traded with temperature stability properties. The experimental results show that kp= 0.64, kt = 0.50, Qm=1450,epsiv33 T/epsiv0= 1360 at x=0.04. Furthermore, using this well-developed material to construct a 1 MHz therapeutic transducer through this studied method to examine its input electrical power degradation and temperature stability characterization in comparison with that using convention method, we find that this material prepared by the B-site oxides precursor method is good candidate for making power therapeutic transducer.
