Abstract
In this paper, an efficient digital filter structure is developed for the QMF two-channel filter bank. The filters are IIR type and both the aliasing and the amplitude distortion are eliminated. The resulting filter is thus all-pass having only phase distortion. A highly parallel and modular implementation is derived; the basic building block being either a planar rotation or a 1-multiplier lattice section. Some quantization analysis is included for the resulting realization
