Abstract
This paper will examine the graduation rate of U.S. citizens who are undergraduate computer science majors and the potential impact on hiring in the United States. Between the years of 1997 and 2006, the graduation rate peaked in 2004 and declined through 2006. Although there are indications, which reflect in recent years enrollment is up for those who intend to major in computer science the actual number of those who are graduating is at risk and remains low.
