  • Abstract
    The half-wave voltage of a Mach-Zehnder intensity modulator with a buried coplanar waveguide electrode is calculated by the finite element method. It is found that the half-wave voltage is insensitive to the electrode thickness, but decreases with increasing depth of the electrode
