Abstract
Methods used to implement a knowledge-based system, to assist in the depot maintenance of a complex inertial navigation system, are outlined. Discussed are the needs for a knowledge-based system and the preparations necessary to modify the present equipment to accept an expert system. Also described are actions involved in setting-up the initial system and benefits expected from using an expert system
