Abstract
In this paper a program has been developed that can calculate capacitance of arbitrary shape electrodes for anisotropic medium of liquid crystal chemical and biological sensors. Since for anisotropic materials permittivity is dependent on orientation of molecules, certain electrode shapes can be designed that have special features for sensor detection. For proof of concept a circular shape electrode has been introduced that its capacitance is independent of planar angle change of the LC molecules.
