Abstract
Discusses the considerations involved in defining, forecasting, measuring, and managing embedded computer resource reserves from the conceptual phase through the maintenance phase of the host weapon system. It is reported that the demand for embedded computer systems continues to increase, and these systems are now being procured with an eye toward providing sufficient memory and processing reserve to accommodate changing requirements over the weapons system´s entire life cycle
