Abstract
Summary form only given. In this paper, the authors report on the application of a soft systems methodology (SSM) to improvement in the product introduction process (PIP) for integrated aerospace manufacture. They briefly allude to the Boardman SSM and illustrate its application to this particular process. They conclude by remarking on the value of a soft systems approach to PIP improvement and discuss the requirements for users who may wish to consider adopting such an approach
