  • Abstract
    We demonstrate novel metal-defined electro-optic polymer modulators for the first time. Phase modulators fabricated using this technique have a driving voltage of 5.6 V and an extinction ratio of ∼18 dB at 1.55 μm wavelength. This approach is a promising fabrication technique alternative for passive and EO polymer devices.
