Abstract
First results of an experimental investigation of the electromechanical properties of langasite crystals irradiated with electron and γ-radiation are represented. Irradiation (with electrons and γ-rays) was carried out using an MT-25 FLNR JINR microtron experimental set-up. Samples were exposed at ambient conditions with 4 MeV electrons or bremsstrahlung γ-radiation produced by 9.7 MeV electrons on a tungsten target. The dose rate under γ-irradiation was in the range 3+5 Gy/s. The average electron beam flux was 2×1011 cm-2s-1. Total absorbed dose and electron fluence were 105 Gy and 8×1013 cm-2, respectively. A sharp increase of the Q-factor after electron irradiation and some decrease of the same parameter after γ-irradiation were found.
