Abstract
This paper provides a summary of the wire and cable types normally utilized in pulp and paper facilities for power, control and instrumentation and the associated installation requirements for each wiring method. The installation requirements for cable tray and direct burial are specifically covered as well as the grounding requirements when cables are paralleled. It does not address wire and cable products or installation requirements which are predominantly used in commercial or residential occupancies.
