Abstract
Manufacturing resources are of great importance in service-oriented manufacturing execution system (So-MES). This paper studies the e-service node for the So-MES in equipment level. The node is an integration service model composed of hardware aspect (such as machine tools, fixtures, measurements, etc.) and software aspect (such as scheduling service, quality service, monitoring service, collaboration service and data collection service, etc.). The hardware, which may be provided by the professional third-party service provider to reduce the manufacturing cost and improve the manufacturing quality, is encapsulated as a service item in e-service node. In the aspect of technical service, scheduling implementation, quality control, data collection, collaboration operation and state monitoring are achieved in the e-service node for enabling manufacturing process in high quality and efficiency. Finally, a prototype is developed to demonstrate the proposed models.
