Abstract :
Multipath fading of wireless channel is a key factor affecting wireless communication performance. To overcome signal fading, MIMO system uses diversity techniques to deal with it. The combination of different diversity techniques can fatherly improve system performance in wireless environment. Researches have shown that spacetime coding techniques can improve wireless communication performance. This paper discussed the encoding and decoding principles of spacetime block code on the basis of MIMO system model, and simulated Alamouti space time encoding scheme, and the simulation results showed that increasing receiving antenna, to a certain extent, would reduce the bit error rate of system and improve the diversity gain of system.
