Abstract
Requirements elicitation is one of the first activities that tries to define the project scope and elicit user requirements. This activity relies in communication and cooperation between stakeholders which makes collaboration crucial for the success of this activity, especially in global software development projects with distributed teams and stakeholders. Despite the need for collaboration, lack of user input is still one of the problems of requirements elicitation, having negative consequences on project success. In this paper we present a proposal to involve stakeholders during requirements elicitation through the support of online collaboration and the usage of visualization techniques to stimulate stakeholders and increase their awareness about requirements. We are following action research methodology and present the results of a recent case study.
