Abstract
This paper examines an optimal architecture which would support the efficient construction of efficient multi-protocol communication systems. The architecture is examined in the context of architectural support and efficiency of execution. The communication system used as an example, is one of a number of protocols which runs on a micro satellite onboard computer system supporting store and forward communication
