Abstract
The quality specifications for a radar derived DEM (digital elevation model) depend on both technological limitations and user requirements. After a brief review of existing radar mapping techniques, the problem of DEM quality is addressed and the requirements of quality specifications are analysed in the context of radar derived DEM production
