Abstract :
An instrument which can be used to simulate the multipath fading associated with VHF/UHF mobile radio channels is described. The implementation is considered simple, flexible, and economical and allows the fading waveforms to be repeated exactly. Level crossing rate and probability distribution function measurements over a wide range of Doppler frequencies indicate good agreement with theoretical results
