Abstract :
The interference experienced by the mobile receiver in the MSAT scenario using two geosynchronous relay satellites under the MSAT frequency reuse scheme is quantified. Interference produced by the modulation spectrum and the mobile motion due to the desired MSAT as well as the interfering MSAT satellite under the frequency reuse scheme is considered. The effect of mobile antenna tracking jitters on the power received from the desired satellite as well as the interfering MSAT satellite is taken into account. The interference produced by an interfering satellite due to its frequency, modulation, and orbital position, and Doppler due to its motion is quantified. The interfering satellite orbit may be elliptical or circular, inclined or equatorial, geosynchronous or nongeosynchronous. Results of a computer simulation taking into account the above mentioned effects are presented
