Abstract :
A 16-channel transmitter multiplexer for a 800-MHz band cellular system base station is presented. This multiplexer is small and low cost, with high electrical performance. Dielectric TE01δ mode channel filters and a newly developed dielectric TM110 mode high-power antenna bandpass filter are used. The size of the multiplexer is W260×D225×H1600 mm3, about one third the volume of conventional multiplexers using cavity resonators. This transmitter multiplexer provides cost saving to base station systems because it is possible to expand the number of channels to 16 one by one corresponding to the increase of communication demand
