Abstract :
Application of stoichiometric MgO:PPLT to single-pass, 57%-efficient, 7.05 W average-power SHG of a quasi-CW, single-mode Yb-doped fiber source is demonstrated. Peak-power-density control, reduced photorefraction and nonlinear absorption of sPPLT resulted in near diffraction-limited SH beam quality.
