Abstract :
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the CBERS02B-HR image data quality of the Gongliu Forest farm in the West Tianshan Forest area, proceeding from the aspects of geometric orientation and calibration, spatial resolution, and texture, using domestic remote-sensing satellite data to carry out the application research, including extraction of forest thematic information and monitoring of forest resources. Although efforts are still needed for improving the sensor´s quality and to strengthen the positioning and processing technology to the CBERS02B-HR image, the results show that spatial resolution, image interpretation and other capabilities have been improved significantly. The CBERS02B-HR image can meet the drawing requirements from 1:50000 scale and higher scale maps, after geometric precision correction. The domestic remote-sensing satellite data can be used effectively in agriculture, forestry, water, land, mapping, disaster monitoring, and other fields.
