Abstract :
Modules in series multi-level high-voltage transducer is the speed control mode by applied widely. The advantage of which is utilized by neutral point drifting technology, it can launch the system self-adjustment automatically when some power modules are broken down. The article takes 15-power modules in series as an example, to analyze the neutral point drifting technology and research the treatment of module failure. Firstly, according to the mathematical analysis, the algorithm is established and formulas are deduced to calculate phase angles and line voltages. Secondly, after theoretical analysis on specific failures with power modules, the maximum values of load voltages are separately calculated by the model. Compared simulation results with theoretical results, the correctness of algorithm is verified. At this point, the algorithm can be widely popularized to solve the actual issues.
