  • Abstract
    Various vector-median type filters have been proposed in the last few years. Although many of them present similarities, these filters have never been explicitly classified. In this paper, we propose a classification of R-ordering filters, based on the different ordering criteria which are usually used in R-ordering of data. An often mentioned drawback of R-ordering filters is their computational complexity. After transforming the expression of one type of criterion, we also present fast-computation algorithms for filters belonging to the corresponding class
