Abstract
New technology opportunities abound, ranging from MEMS and MOEMS through new energy systems and biotechnology to nanotechnology. The challenge with any high technology development remains, finding the market for stimulating business growth. This paper explores each of these emerging technologies from the perspective of applications development and possible resulting business opportunities. Many of these new technologies already find wide spread application in our day to day lives while others continue to search for the "killer application" that takes them from the laboratory to reality.
