Abstract :
This paper deals with an indirect model-reference adaptive control algorithm for periodic systems presenting drift in either the period itself, the inter-period behavior, or both. The controller design uses induced l2-norm (H) robust control tools. As a result, the adaptive law is robust against unstructured uncertainty, measurement noise, and changes in the parameters. The paper also formalizes the concept of frozen period systems as a vehicle to characterize the drift in close-to-periodic systems
