Abstract

In January 1991 a program promoting renewable energies, the so called "Arbeitsgemeinschaft Solar North Rhine Westphalia" was set up by the Ministry of Science and Research (MWF) to protect the atmosphere. The state of North Rhine Westphalia has financially supported these activity for developing and diffusion of renewable energies. The AG Solar NRW has evolved a special model for creating and carrying out projects. The main aim of the association is to combine the activities in the field of solar energy and to promote research, development and demonstration of enhanced technical solar energy applications. Further aims are to develop solar energy technology, reduce the cost of application and increasingly introduce solar energy into a wide range of users
