  • Abstract
Data obtained from a single-channel 5-mm radiometer on a research vessel were used for study of sea water temperature and the temperature profile in the lower atmosphere. The technique has shown an accuracy for air-water temperature difference retrieval of about 0.1 K. Experimental values of air temperature gradient are compared with model predictions both under stable and unstable conditions
