Abstract
The hydraulically dampened knee flexion orthosis (HDKFO) is described. The HDKFO borrows advances in prosthetics applied in amputee rehabilitation and applies them to orthotic therapy. The problem of unstable gait is discussed, and the standard commercial knee brace within the HDKFO is described
