Abstract :
This article mainly introduced the specific process of transforming an erhu (Chinese violin) music file from wav to mid. The process included abstracting the fundamental frequency of the notes by means of DWT and FFT analysis, then transforming the fundamental frequency to midi notes on the basis of specific message format of midi files, and setting specified dual-threshold according to the properties of erhu to screen valid notes, and finally composing them with other control information to form midi files.
