Abstract
A method based on positional similarity of received signal strength is introduced to be used in wireless sensor network localization. After the measurement of the received signal strength between nodes, nodes are divided into regions according to certain rules. The beacon node which has the strongest positional similarity to blind node is used as a reference node during the calculation of the blind node´s coordinate. Through the simulation, it comes that the method based on positional similarity of received signal strength has more priority while the received signal strength has obvious regional influencing factors. It also has some reference value in other algorithms.
