Abstract :
The stored energy distribution in a TC-type prototype filter and a QC-type prototype filter with the same power transfer function are compared with each other. Although the total stored energy in the two realisations is identical, it is shown that the distributions of the stored energy differ considerably from each other. It was found that the maximum stored energy in the resonators of the QC-type prototype is significantly smaller than in the TC-type one.
