Abstract :
A new CAD software for the sensitivity properties of fiber gratings is reported, which takes the three-layers uniform wave guide as grating guide model. This software uses the transfer matrix method and the coupling mode equation to calculate the spectrum of Bragg grating and long period grating. Based on the Visual C++, the sensitivity properties about temperature, tension, refractive and other sensing quantity of grating can be analyzed. The software is useful for the optimal design of the sensitivity about fiber grating parameters.
