Abstract :
A new technique for very fast analogue discrete-time processing is presented. It uses BiCMOS technology and combines the high speed available from bipolar transistors with the storage capability of MOS devices. The technique is based on (nearly) linear building blocks and can equally easily be configured for either current-mode or voltage-mode processing. SPICE simulations on a realistic circuit indicate that a sampling frequency of 2,50 MHz can be achieved in a 0.8 μm-BiCMOS process with a maximum NPN transistor fT of 10 GHz
