Abstract
An aging era has come into China, but the quality of the specified products used by the elderly, as well as the theory related has been very weak, which is prominent especially in IT products. For some reasons, cell phones, working as personal information terminals, are not completely suitable for the elderly in China today. The principles of the usability design of cell phones for the elderly deeply influenced by culture and the era, so that those principles are user-oriented just as the principles of modern industrial design. Only when you get a better understanding of the target users and their requirement, can you design the products that are of high usability.
