Abstract :
In this tutorial, the basic principles and scope of application for symbolic computation are reviewed. Commercially available symbolic computation software packages are surveyed. Specific examples are presented in the context of switching power supply design. A program which automatically generates a state space model from the netlist is presented. Automatic generation of large-signal averaged models, small-signal models, and transfer functions are demonstrated
