Abstract :
The article introduces some research work about alarm management of the BSC (Base Station Controller ) in mobile comunication. The Communication Base Station system is consisted of different hardware and software subsystem that are supplied by different manufacturer, and the alarm content is very complex, the alarm information is huge. It´s very difficult to handle these fault by their alarm information. In this paper Rough Set theory is introduced to deal with BSC alarm management problem, and a model is built for BSC alarm management, we also give the concrete algorithm for attribute reduction and discernibility matrix whick are used to deal with actual alarm records. In finaly, we provide a system architecture of BSC alarm management. The results show that we can use rough set theory to extract reduced rules of alarm handling, and provide a basis for scientific decision-making of alarm management, and also improve efficiency.
