Abstract :
In communication applications, the Constant Modulus Algorithm has proven an effective means for adjusting coefficients of an adaptive filter. However, under certain conditions, it may generate a response that discriminates against the signal component in a preference for broadband noise for sustained periods. Work has been done toward characterizing and modeling this phenomenon.
