Abstract :
We investigate the choice of the best mother wavelet for perceptual data hiding in the wavelet domain. The watermarked images are submitted to a series of attacks based on normal image processing techniques. Simulations show that regardless of the content of the images (contours, textures, homogeneous zones), the best mother wavelets are the ones used in the JPEG2000 standard.
