Abstract
The results of computer simulations of compression algorithms for digital TV images, providing the possibility of transmitting several TV programs in a single satellite channel are presented. The enhancement of the interframe compression efficiency is achieved due to the adaptive variation of the coefficient of transmission precision based on the assessment of the specific features of the image being processed and the splitting of the image into separately processed and coded constituents. The modified algorithms for luminance and chrominance signals processing were developed to ensure the transmission of 4-6 TV programs in a single standard radio channel without visible distortions
